The Beach Hotels
Mancora is 1300km north of Lima, not so far from the border with Ecuador. It's a quiet place, popular with surfers and only really offers beaches and game fishing. The sea food is excellent and very cheap.
The beaches of the north offer various levels of accommodation. There are very few 5 star hotels, but plenty of rustic 3 star type hotels.
