Here is one of the most popular tours for first time visitors to Peru: A four day trip to Cuzco and Machu Picchu.
Day 1 Arrival to Cuzco: Early morning flight from Lima to Cuzco. Transfer to your hotel with a welcome Coca tea (optional!). After you have settled in you are taken on a half day city tour including the Cathedral, Central Square and the Ruins of Sacsayhuaman outside the town... spectacular views of Cuzco City!

Day 2 Machu Picchu: Breakfast in the hotel then transfer to the railway station for the train journey to Machu Picchu. You are given a complete guided tour of the Ruins. Lunch is included. In the afternoon you start your journey back to Cuzco.
Day 3 The Sacred Valley: Breakfast in the hotel then depart by comfortable bus for a tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You visit the beautiful market at Pisac. Lunch included at a tourist restaurant. In the afternoon you visit the spectacular Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo.
Day 4 Back to Lima: Breakfast then transfer to the airport for your return to Lima.
You can extend your stay in Cuzco to explore more of the area at your leisure, if you require.
